3 SPF Products Just in Time for National Skin Cancer Awareness Month

According to the Academy of American Dermatology, approximately 9,500 people are diagnosed with skin cancer daily. Yes, daily. Crazy, right? I certainly didn’t know that. But, what I did know, is to apply my sunscreen. Here—and just in time for National Skin Cancer month this month—are my top three sunscreen products right now.

Replenishing Solar Defense Body Lotion SPF 30 from MyChelle Dermaceuticals, $30

I have a hard time finding sunscreens that I actually like to apply. I know that I have to, but the greasy and slimy consistency freaks me out, and makes me feel like I need a shower. This replenishing sunscreen from MyChelle, however, feels like a smooth and velvety body butter—and it smells like one! I’ve really enjoyed wearing this. I don’t feel greasy during the day, and it dries really fast. Perfect for daily use, or when on the beach!

Sparkling Aloe Day Cream from SanRe Organic Skinfood, $31.99

As much as I love skincare, it might come as a surprise that I wasn’t very good at applying SPF to my face every day—before I found this. The sparkling aloe vera day cream from SanRe Organic Skinfood is like heaven in a jar. It’s pretty thick and creamy, but blends and dries quickly. A little goes a long way, and the SPF is a mineral sunscreen, so no nasties here. I’ve been loving layering this on my face in the morning after a nice cleanse, but before my makeup! SURPRISE SALE: Use code LOVEMOM19 for 25% off!

SPF 30 Tinted Mineral Moisturizer - BB from Juice Beauty, $32

I’ve been using this as a super light foundation, and have been loving it. This tinted moisturizer layers wonderfully over any moisturizer, and has a gorgeous tint that can smooth out any skin tone. The product comes in four shades—I ordered mine in tan—and isn’t too pigmented, so it should work on in-between skin tones. This moisturizer, specifically, is an active sunscreen (it contains zinc, which is good) and uses the antioxidants of apple, grape and aloe botanical juices to protect your skin.
