Welcome to the new series! Every month, I’ll be writing about my current faves from hair care and skincare to makeup. To start us off…here, my February faves and why you need them too.

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo

I have a confession: I used to wash my hair every day. Looking back, I think it’s insane, and you should too. Did you know that some of the oils that are produced when you don’t wash your hair every day are actually GOOD for your hair? They help with hair growth, strength and shine. Now, I go about three-to-four days between washing my hair. Of course, it does still get oily, which looks gross. So when it does, I use Amika’s Perk Up Dry Shampoo. The aerosol works to absorb some of that excess oil, and refreshes your hair with natural rice starch. It also smells really good!

bioClarity Essentials Routine

When I first received this routine, I was in the midst of a move, but itching to try it out! Finally, I’ve been able to, and I’ve really been loving the way it’s been helping my skin. The entire routine is extremely gentle on skin. There’s minimal fragrance, and super simple (three steps!). The cleanser is a gel-like consistency, and does the job at night. The second step, Restore, is a green gel that contains chlorophyll that feeds the cells. Then the third…Hydrate. This moisturizer goes a long way, and basically acts as a smoothie for your skin. It has kept my skin nice and healthy during these cold winter months! Aside from the ingredient benefits, the routine is also travel size, which allows me to continue it even when I’m not at home.

Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask by Fresh Beauty

The perfect mask for calming and moisturizing my skin. Whenever my complexion starts to look dull, or begins to break out, I apply this mask. It’s a bit tingly when applied, and has a cloud-like whipped texture that becomes silky against the skin. Made from kombucha, black tea extract, blackberry leaf extract and lychee seed, the formula also helps to improve elasticity. I apply the mask with a brush, and wear it for about 10-15 minutes.

Espresso Bright Eyes by Sole Toscana

I first started using Sole Toscana’s line about a month after Christmas. The company recently launched, and focuses on natural good-for-you products that are inspired by artisanal Italian beauty recipes. While the entire skincare line is definitely worth a look (my boyfriend is currently loving the Rosewater Wellspring Cleanser), my current favorite is the Espresso Bright Eyes: a creamy product that works to brighten your under eye. Aside from containing espresso, the formula is aloe-based, meaning that it builds more collagen than other water-based products. It also contains grapeseed, which helps to tighten the delicate skin and get rid of dark circles. I really love using this before my OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright Eye Crème. I find that the products layer well together, and work cohesively to brighten.

Sea Mist Toner by OSEA Malibu

I love a good toner, and this one has been my go-to this month. Whether I’m in need of a quick pick-me-up, or am setting my makeup in the morning, this hydrating toner is the best! Rich in antioxidants, organic algae, resveratrol and pomegranate, the formula works to moisturize and brighten within a spritz or two. I feel like a lot of toners on the market don’t actually work, but I was thoroughly surprised with this one! Plus—it’s a gorgeous pink-orange color, so what’s not to like?
